Position Summary

The Prep Cook II is an intermediate-level culinary role responsible for preparing ingredients that support daily kitchen operations at the Racquets Club. This position plays a key role in ensuring the kitchen is organized, efficient, and fully prepared to deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their culinary foundation while working in a supportive and energetic setting.

  

What You’ll Do

  •  Prepare ingredients for daily service, including chopping, slicing, portioning, and basic food preparation 
  • Follow standardized recipes and prep lists with accuracy and consistency 
  • Maintain proper labeling, dating, and storage of all food items 
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory, including product rotation (FIFO) 
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked 
  • Support the culinary team during service as needed 
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards 
Requirements

  

What We’re Looking For

  •  1–2 years of kitchen or culinary experience preferred 
  • Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong attention to detail and organization 
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn

  

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Experience in a casual dining, club, or hospitality environment 
  • Culinary training or education 
  • Experience working in high-volume kitchens

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
