Urgent Care Physician
Description

An excellent opportunity exists to work for a government contractor with competitive compensation and work-life balance. Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing the Erie VA Medical Center with an Urgent Care Physician. The Physician is expected to perform the following: 

  • Participates in daily huddles with other staff and in Urgent Care systems redesign projects.
  • Provides consultative care as well as specialty care management and follow up to patients referred to their practice.
  • Provides clinical care for patients. This includes management of acute and chronic conditions, medication management, preventative care (if appropriate) and management of clinical reminders, timely management of clinical alerts, and other needs of the patient. An Urgent Care provider is expected to assist with coverage of other Urgent Care providers at the facility as needed due to absences or based on workload.
  • May have responsibility for supervision of or collaboration with mid-level providers.
  • Provides clinical oversight and participates in peer reviews of other Urgent Care providers through periodic chart reviews at the facility and in collaboration with Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) needs.
  • Regularly attends Urgent Care staff meetings, departmental meetings and medical staff meetings.
  • Provides timely documentation (notes and encounter forms) in all areas in accordance with facility policy.
  • Works within their privileges at all times and follows the Medical Bylaws.
  • Follows Veterans Health Administration (VHA) directives and facility procedures.
Requirements

 

  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Valid BLS
  • at least 3 to 5 years of experience 
Salary Description
$200,000 - $275,000
