Teller – Full Time

Job Description Summary: Provide efficient, accurate, and friendly service to customers. Work independently, as well as working together as a team. Tellers perform a variety of duties in processing banking transactions for both individual and business customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Process multiple transaction types such as accepting checks for cash and deposit; verifying cash received & given out and the proper endorsement of checks; accepting savings and checking deposits; savings withdrawals and issuing cashier checks.
• Maintain proper cash levels in drawers and keep cash secure.
• Responsible for daily balancing of cash drawer and handling over/short account per policy.
• Responsible for balancing and maintaining the ATM. 
• Be knowledgeable and promote FMB’s services to customers. 
• Ensure safe and sound banking practices, including adherence to all bank compliance, security and operational procedures and policies.
• Assist in opening and closing the branch, following all safety procedures.
• Maintain customer confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Close attention to detail and excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate and work well with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive manner.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as, computer, adding machine, and copiers.
• Integrity and reliability regarding handling sensitive customer information.

Working Conditions

• Able to stand for extensive periods of time.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Frequent talking and listening and constant judgment and concentration.
• May be required to work in another branch on occasion.

Hours

Available Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 5:15 pm; Rotating Saturdays 8:15 am to 12:15 pm for approximately 40 hours total per work week. Flexibility to changes as needed with scheduling.
