Mid-Level Electrical Engineer

CPT is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative, mission-critical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical systems requirements management and design for Gun Weapon System components and assemblies at E30.
  • Conduct electrical design, integration, and test evaluation activities in support of E30 program requirements.
  • Utilize electrical engineering design software tools to develop, analyze, and document electrical system designs.
  • Develop electrical engineering documentation, including schematics, specifications, and interface control documents.
  • Support and conduct design reviews, ECP evaluations, and electrical systems engineering working groups.
  • Perform electrical systems testing, collect data, and prepare test reports and findings.
  • Identify and analyze electrical system anomalies and support root cause analysis and corrective action.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design and integration.
  • Experience with electrical systems engineering processes, requirements management, and design documentation.
  • Proficiency with electrical engineering design software (MATLAB, OrCAD, or equivalent).
  • Active Secret clearance required.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting Navy or DoD Gun Weapon Systems or naval electronics programs.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD electrical and electronic design standards.
  • Experience with power systems, motor controls, fire control systems, or similar naval weapon subsystems.
