Description

The Territory Sales Manager is accountable for sales of new and existing products, and services. They are responsible for managing customer relationships to ensure that customer retention and satisfaction is high. Instrumental in working through the sales process with new customers as well as key stakeholders. Communication expertise internally across departments and externally throughout industry.  

  

  • Develop business plans for products in a specific trade area or species, in conjunction with supervisor, which includes product volume, buy/sell margins, targeted prospecting territory development, and account development.
  • Represent Feed Energy at conferences, trade associations, and other events by attending, exhibiting, or presenting at those events.
  • Manage the process and collaborates with other team members and leadership to drive business growth both in existing and new market segments and accounts.
  • Support new product or service development through collaboration with functional leads to determine launch strategies for new products or services and program rollouts.
  • Participate in lead generation activities that allow for the acquisition of new prospects through proactive networking, lead development, and cold calling. 
  • Keep management abreast of industry trends and new developments; and provides strategic direction to improve Feed Energy’s ability to add value to the agriculture industry.
  • Gather intelligence regarding prospect, decision-makers, and their needs.
  • Monitor competitors and product and/or service differentiators.
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company can provide to address their business needs. (ex. Market intel, nutrition, targeted service) 
  • Execute the customer relationship management process.
  • Identify gate keepers in the process, and devise strategies to overcome objections in the system 
  • Collaborate with Purchasing by participating in customer pricing for defined accounts.
  • Qualify opportunities for active pursuit based on the probability of success.
  • Generate viable opportunities from new and existing customers. Track and move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Ability to demonstrate our company values in everyday work interactions. 
  • All other duties as assigned. 
Requirements
  • Experience within the Turkey industry required
  • 2-5 years of sales account experience 
  • BA/BS in Ag related field
  • Demonstrate in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles.
  • Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external customers.
  • Negotiate value added opportunities, strategic planning and execution, sales contracting, negotiating and change management.
