Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Architect

Position Summary
CoreSphere is seeking an experienced Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Architect to serve as the senior solution and technical architect across our State & Local (S&L) Practice. The Architect will provide technical leadership for enterprise Salesforce implementations supporting Licensing, Permitting & Inspections (LPI), Health & Human Services, Grants Management, Benefits Management, Case Management, Regulatory Programs, Public Safety, and other State & Local government initiatives. The role is responsible for defining enterprise architecture, integration strategy, security, data architecture, DevSecOps, and implementation standards while partnering with executives, business stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, and delivery teams to successfully deliver complex government digital transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end solution architecture for Salesforce Public Sector Solutions implementations supporting Licensing, Permitting & Inspections (LPI), Grants Management, Benefits Management, Complaints, Investigations, Regulatory Case Management, and constituent service programs.
- Lead architecture for Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS), Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, OmniStudio, and Agentforce solutions.
- Define enterprise architecture, application architecture, integration architecture, security model, identity management, and data architecture.
- Lead discovery workshops and translate business requirements into scalable enterprise solutions.
- Drive adoption of Salesforce out-of-the-box capabilities before recommending custom development.
- Design OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and reusable accelerators.
- Architect integrations using REST, SOAP, Platform Events, MuleSoft, HL7/FHIR, ETL platforms, and external government systems.
- Define DevSecOps strategy, CI/CD pipelines, environment management, release governance, and deployment standards.
- Review technical designs, conduct architecture reviews, mentor developers and technical leads, and establish development standards.
- Ensure solutions comply with FedRAMP, NIST, WCAG, HIPAA (where applicable), CJIS (where applicable), and state security standards.
- Support RFP responses, solution estimation, executive presentations, roadmap planning, and practice development.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.8+ years of Salesforce implementation experience with 5+ years as a Solution or Technical Architect.
- Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS).
- Domain knowledge in Licensing, Permitting & Inspections (LPI), Grants Management, Benefits Management, Case Management, Regulatory Programs, or Health & Human Services.
- Expertise with OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, Apex, LWC, Flow, Platform Events, and Integration Procedures.
- Strong API architecture experience including REST, SOAP, OAuth, Named Credentials, MuleSoft, HL7/FHIR, and middleware integration.
- Experience with enterprise security, SSO, Identity, Platform Encryption, Shield, Event Monitoring, and role-based security.
- Experience with large-scale data migration, data governance, and master data management.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Copado/Gearset, SFDX, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience designing scalable multi-org, multi-environment Salesforce architectures.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification required/preferred; CTA is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering State & Local government digital transformation programs.
- Knowledge of Public Sector licensing, inspections, grants administration, benefits eligibility, financial assistance, and constituent engagement.
- Experience with CRM Analytics, Agentforce, AI capabilities, GIS, document generation, and enterprise integration platforms.
