Aqua Runner (Server Assistant)
At Boar’s Head Resort, the Aqua Runner (Server Assistant) plays a key supporting role in delivering an exceptional poolside guest experience. This position ensures seamless service by assisting servers, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and anticipating guest needs in a fast-paced, outdoor setting.
The ideal candidate is energetic, attentive, and thrives in a team-oriented, hospitality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Aqua Servers by delivering food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of poolside service areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Assist with setting up and breaking down poolside service areas before and after shifts
- Refill water, clear tables, and reset guest areas promptly
- Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure accurate and efficient service
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive support to enhance the overall experience
- Follow all safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of food and beverages
- Maintain awareness of pool safety guidelines and report any concerns to leadership
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous hospitality or food & beverage experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude with a guest-first mindset
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak season hours
Work Environment
- Outdoor, poolside setting with exposure to heat, sun, and varying weather conditions
- Physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and carrying items throughout the shift
