Description

Stratacomm seeks a sharp, driven account executive with a strong communications foundation and the instincts to operate independently. You come to the table with genuine curiosity about your clients' businesses, a feel for what makes a good storytelling opportunity and a track record of executing with precision—from managing campaign outreach to juggling competing priorities without dropping the ball.

You are a capable writer, a resourceful researcher and someone who manages their own time well, able to reprioritize quickly and stay focused on what matters most. You are well-organized, detail-oriented, collaborative and enthusiastic about the work. You can pitch a reporter, build a timeline in Asana, research influencers and perform creative quality control checks, all in a day's work.


This is an opportunity to grow your craft as part of the client leadership team, working with some of our largest clients across the government, manufacturing and automotive sectors.


Candidates must be based within 75 miles of Detroit and available to come into the office for client meetings and team gatherings, as needed.


What You’ll Do:  


Client Service & Account Management

· Conduct thorough research using web-based tools; synthesize findings into clear, actionable summaries for client counsel, new business pursuits and agency marketing.

· Manage multiple projects and accounts simultaneously, keeping workflows, timelines and deliverables on track without sacrificing quality or responsiveness.

· Leverage enterprise AI tools to sharpen the quality of client deliverables and drive efficiency, bringing speed and strategic judgment to everything you produce.

· Demonstrate sound judgment and self-awareness.

Earned Media & Content

· Monitor traditional and social media daily; synthesize coverage, competitor activity and emerging trends into timely intelligence that informs client strategy and surfaces earned media opportunities.

· Write and edit a full range of client-ready materials, including but not limited to news releases, media pitches, talking points, fact sheets, social copy, Q&As and executive presentations, with a consistent focus on quality and accuracy.

· Build and maintain targeted outreach lists; research reporters and stakeholders with a sharp eye for who moves the needle in a given industry.

· Research and vet influencers and content creators, evaluating audience fit, brand alignment and client mandatories.

· Develop and execute proactive media outreach, bringing a strong instinct for story angles that earn coverage in trade, business and consumer outlets.

· Support multimedia social media content development, such as reels, graphics and platform specific copy. Canva experience a plus.

· Support executive visibility programs, including identifying and vetting speaking opportunities, award submissions and interview placements for key client spokespeople.

· Demonstrate a working understanding of how earned media, digital marketing and paid media work together to drive integrated outcomes.

Project & Campaign Execution

· Build and manage timelines for multi-faceted campaigns using digital project management tools (Asana or equivalent).

· Support the planning and execution of in-person or virtual events of varying sizes and formats, including but not limited to serving as onsite staff support.

· Coordinate internal requests to activate support across integrated teams (creative, digital, paid media and others), including development and submission of project briefs, tracking deliverables and ensuring campaign assets move from brief to completion.

· Review and proof written and creative deliverables against client style guides, ensuring accuracy, brand compliance and quality before delivery.

· Maintain organized archives of creative assets.

· Review custom paid media assets against mandatories and platform specs.

· Compile measurement and KPI tracking reports that connect communications activity to client business objectives.

· Support financial management tasks including activity tracking and budget monitoring.

· Work effectively across a distributed team; communicate clearly, meet deadlines and flag issues early.

· Contribute to agency new business efforts, including research, proposal development and presentation preparation.

· Participate in agency marketing and visibility activities as opportunities arise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of communications experience; agency experience strongly preferred. 

• Exceptional writing and editing skills across a wide range of formats; you know AP Style, you write with clarity and precision, and you hold your own work to a high standard.

• Demonstrated experience conducting media outreach; you've built lists, developed pitches and put them in front of reporters.

• Genuine curiosity about your clients' industries and the broader world; you read widely, follow the news and bring that awareness to your work.

• Strong storytelling instincts; you understand what makes a good story and how to refine messaging for carious audiences.

• Working knowledge of how earned media, digital marketing and paid media intersect; comfortable contributing in an integrated campaign environment.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple accounts without sacrificing quality, accuracy or responsiveness.

• Resourceful and solutions-oriented; you figure things out, ask the right questions and don't wait to be told what to do.

• Comfort using AI tools to enhance research, drafting and deliverable quality; you approach new technology with curiosity and apply it with strategic judgment.

• Superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills; confident representing Stratacomm and clients in professional settings.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other 365 tools.
