POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Data Integration Specialist to hands-on integration and implementation efforts for our SaaS-based technology products. This role focuses on configuring system integrations, mapping and validating data, and troubleshooting technical issues while partnering with internal teams, client HR/IT stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead client and partner integration setup and execution, including secure credential configuration, data mapping, and SFTP/API connections.
- Support ETL-style data flows to transform and load data across formats such as CSV, JSON, and XML.
- Configure and monitor API-based integrations using supported tools; manage secure SFTP/FTPS file transfers.
- Write and execute approved SQL queries to extract data and perform data quality validation and reconciliation.
- Partner day-to-day with Customer Success and internal support teams to perform frequent database lookups and provide timely, accurate data needed to resolve client inquiries.
- Develop and execute integration test plans; monitor job logs and dashboards.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, including authentication errors, missing files, data mismatches, and API failures.
- Support production integrations through incident response, issue analysis, and escalation when needed.
- Maintain documentation for integration configurations, mappings, and support procedures.
- Ensure integrations align with established data security and privacy requirements, including encryption, secure authentication, and proper handling of PII.
- Assist with single sign-on (SSO) setup and validation using PingFederate and PingOne tools.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong SQL skills with experience working in relational databases and maintaining data integrity.
- Hands-on experience with ETL concepts, RESTful APIs, and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting SFTP/FTPS and API-based integrations.
- Ability to read API documentation and diagnose request/response issues.
- Knowledge of secure authentication, encryption, and privacy standards for sensitive data.
- Proven ability to analyze logs, identify issues, and resolve integration failures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in data integration or software implementation roles; SaaS or HR Tech experience preferred.
- Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional teams on technical implementations, with a professional and proactive approach to client service.
- Familiarity with HRIS/Payroll platforms.
- High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues under time constraints while following established processes.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Position may require travel as needed to support clients and/or attend company events.

- Compensation Rewards: Discretionary year-end bonuses and annual merit increases based on performance. In alignment with pay transparency laws and our compensation philosophy, the expected hiring range for this position is $59,871.74 - $75,000 annually. This range reflects our commitment to internal equity and external competitiveness. Actual pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and budget considerations.
