Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with proven expertise in LTL routing for multi-stop produce deliveries. This role is integral to maintaining on-time delivery performance and appointment-setting compliance for our customers.
The successful candidate will take full ownership of routing strategy and execution, ensuring all plans are compliant with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations while meeting strict customer appointment requirements. This role requires accountability, operational discipline, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Routing, Scheduling & On-Time Performance
• Plan and execute LTL, multi-stop produce routes that consistently meet customer appointment windows
• Own appointment-setting compliance, including dock schedules, delivery time constraints, and customer-specific requirements
• Proactively identify risks to on-time delivery (tight windows, excessive dwell, HOS constraints, customer changes) and adjust plans accordingly
• Monitor daily execution to ensure routes are running on schedule and intervene early to prevent service failures
• Serve as a key owner of Pipco’s on-time delivery performance metrics HOS Compliance & Optimization
• Design routes that fully comply with FMCSA Hours of Service regulations while maximizing efficiency
• Balance driving time, appointment schedules, dwell time, and driver availability to create executable, legal plans
• Prevent violations by forecasting HOS impacts before issues arise, not after
Ownership, Accountability & Continuous Improvement
• Take full ownership of routing strategy, from planning through execution and post-trip analysis
• Challenge historical approaches and introduce improved planning methods that raise service levels and scalability
• Act as a trend setter within the organization by bringing forward best practices from the produce logistics industry
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with dispatch staff and drivers, actively listening to feedback and incorporating it into future route plans
• Partner with leadership to align routing decisions with customer expectations and company growth goals
• Communicate clearly with customers when schedule adjustments are required, maintaining trust and transparency
Qualifications Required
• Experience with produce logistics, LTL routing, or multi-stop delivery operations
• Strong working knowledge of HOS regulations and real-world dispatch planning
• Proven ability to manage appointment-driven deliveries with tight windows
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ownership mindset — accountable for results, not just tasks
• Experience improving or scaling logistics operations in a growing carrier
• Familiarity with TMS platforms and route optimization tools
• Strong communicator with drivers, dispatchers, and customers
• Ability to influence change and challenge existing processes constructively
What Success Looks Like
• Consistently high on-time delivery and appointment compliance performance
• Fewer service failures and last-minute schedule changes
• Dispatchers and drivers receive clear, executable plans
• Customers experience reliable, predictable service
• Pipco’s logistics operation becomes more disciplined, scalable, and best-in-class
