Receiving Clerk

Summary:
The Receiving Clerk receives incoming shipments, sorts, counts 100% and verifies the incoming product per the Purchase Order and enters findings into the system. Pulls, packs and prepares to ship outgoing IP’s, PO’s and vendor returns. Visually inspects corrugate and other shipping supplies weekly and reports findings to the Warehouse Supervisor for re order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives materials and verifies 100% count and product accuracy
- Logs all required information into the system
- Records weights and dimensions into the Cubiscan if required
- Reports any discrepancies to Purchasing/Buyer
- Maintains PO Discrepancy spreadsheet to track PO discrepancies
- Sorts and prepares bulk shipments to other facilities
- Pull and pack out going IP’s, PO’s and vendor returns for shipment
- Distributes incoming UPS and FedEx shipments to the correct personnel
- Weekly visual inspection of corrugated and shipping supplies
- Forwards packing slips to the proper department
- Maintains logs for forklift maintenance and MRO shipping supplies

Required Skills / Experience / Equipment Operation:
- High School diploma or GED
- Must have practical work experience with personal computers, especially word processing, database and spreadsheets. Familiarity with electronics is a plus.
- Must possess ability to interpret blueprints, use simple inspection equipment and read and follow standard quality procedures.
- Must obtain / conduct forklift certification.
- Must be capable of working independently with little direct supervision.
- Must display and maintain a positive attitude.
- Have the ability to follow instructions and work in production operations responsibly.
Physical/Mental Essential Functions:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with assistance
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to count and sort
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Ability to be efficient with strong attention to detail
- Ability to use a keyboard with a mouse
Working Conditions:
- Work is generally light in a clean environment without the requirements of PPE.
