Position Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support and uphold compliance, quality standards, and documentation across our services. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure programs meet internal policies and regulatory requirements while continuously improving systems and outcomes. This position is ideal for someone who is analytical, organized, and passionate about maintaining high standards in human services environments.
Quality & Compliance
- Conduct audits of records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations
- Review service agreements, protocols, medication records, progress notes, EVV compliance, and safety documentation
- Identify gaps, risks, or areas for improvement and support corrective actions
- Ensure all records are accurate, current, and audit-ready
Reporting & Analysis
- Run reports and analyze data to identify trends, deficiencies, and compliance risks
- Clearly document findings and communicate recommendations to the Quality Assurance Manager
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives through data-driven insights
Training & Support
- Assist in training new QA staff and retraining existing staff as needed
- Provide guidance on documentation standards, compliance expectations, and best practices
Protocol & Safety Oversight
- Review protocols and safety plans upon completion and annually thereafter
- Coordinate updates with County Managers and track completion timelines
- Escalate overdue or incomplete items to leadership
Collaboration & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, county programs, and external partners
- Collaborate with teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
- Support a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement
Operations & Administrative Support
- Manage communications including phone calls, emails, meetings, and walk-ins
- Maintain organized workflows and demonstrate strong time management
- Participate in assigned meetings and organizational initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel locally or out of the area as needed
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Working knowledge of human services systems and regulatory environments
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret data, identify issues, and recommend solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
Education & Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- 1+ year of experience in human services preferred
- 1+ year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation required
