Fab Operator
Description

Summary:


The Fab Shop Operator I safely performs a variety of fabrication machines in order to assist with the changing demands in the fab shop schedule. The position produces batches of various lot sizes, communicates with co-workers and lead regarding productions runs, follows quality protocols and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.


Hours:


Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm

Friday Overtime as needed 5am-10am/Noon


Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Operates a variety of machines including but not limited to , a new Safan CNC press brake and a Tsune CNC cold cut saw to perform multiple fabrication operations and ensure the proper utilization of equipment and material 
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require 
  • Adheres to company quality protocols and processes
  • Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the H&S handbook
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
  • Perform duties with safety first quality mind set

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools
  • Understanding and ability to read blueprints
  • Basic computer skills for clocking in and out of jobs
  • Ability to check in process parts for quality assurance
