Summary:

Molekule is looking for an Accounting Leader to join our small and dedicated team. You will work closely with the CFO and leaders across departments, to undertake and lead all aspects of accounting management. Your work will directly enable the Molekule team to continue to build, launch, sell, and support new products that deeply impact human health and well-being across the world (starting with the air we breathe). If you have start-up and/or public company experience in a product company at a director level role, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Own:

•  Lead department operations: AR, AP, financial, cost, and inventory accounting, payroll, disbursements, compliance, controls and processes.
•  Lead key external relationships such as auditors.
•  Assist with short and mid-term cash forecasting.
•  Own and streamline the month, quarter, and year-end close processes.
•  Provide financial information to enable key company decisions.
•  Build controls and information flow systems to enable the Company to achieve its goals.
•  Lead financial audit and assist with investor due diligence and reporting requirements.

What You Will Bring:

•  Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of dynamic accounting experience, including >4 years’ managerial experience
•  CPA required
•  Experience working at a Sr. Manager or Director level capacity at a startup, would be a plus
•  Deep experience in consumer hardware, or some sort of manufacturing environment
•  Deep experience with Netsuite
•  Significant hands-on process, controls and disbursements experience
•  Desire to learn, coach, and enable others
•  Proven history of exhibiting a professional and systems-based mindset in a highly visionary and creative environment
•  Experience with Microsoft Applications
•  Experience managing contracts and external partners
•  Experience partnering closely with operations, manufacturing and fulfillment teams
•  Desire to work closely with all departments within the business

Nice to Have:

•  Experience in either Software as a Service or ecommerce subscription businesses
•  Deep insights from both start-up and large established companies

Physical demands of this position include, but are not limited to sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, twisting, reaching, bending, lifting up to 10 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, dexterity of utilizing hands and fingers, ability to work in a manufacturing environment, ability to work onsite, seeing (close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception), hearing and speaking.
