Rock Creek Cattle Company is seeking a Licensed Cosmetologist – Hair Care Specialist to join the Spa 1919 team at the Creek Club Women’s Spa in Deer Lodge, Montana. This position is ideal for a licensed professional who is passionate about hair care, wellness, and delivering exceptional service in a luxury hospitality environment.

Hours: 8-20 weekly hours / shifts 4-8 hours daily
Position Summary
The Licensed Cosmetologist – Hair Care Specialist provides professional hair care services to members and guests at Spa 1919 while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Creek Club Women’s Spa and Fitness areas. In addition to delivering high-quality hair services, this role assists with maintaining a welcoming, clean, and efficient spa environment.
This position may include shared operational responsibilities, such as spa attendant support, sanitation, laundry, front-desk assistance, and fitness-area support. Job duties may be adjusted based on operational needs, member volume, and special events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair care services in accordance with Spa 1919 treatment protocols and service standards.
- Maintain all state-required cosmetology licenses, certifications, endorsements, and insurance necessary to practice in the State of Montana.
- Communicate warmly and professionally with members and guests to ensure a personalized, memorable experience.
- Develop familiarity with member preferences, service history, and amenities to enhance service consistency.
- Maintain knowledge of spa scheduling, check-in procedures, and POS systems to support guest flow and service accuracy.
- Become knowledgeable in all Creek Club amenities, including locker rooms, fitness areas, sauna, cold plunge, and related equipment.
- Assist with spa attendant duties as needed, including: Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and treatment areas. Stocking amenities and replenishing towels. Managing laundry for Spa 1919 and the Women’s Locker Room. Supporting fitness and front-desk operations when required.
- Monitor product, supply, and tool inventory and notify management of low stock.
- Report facility maintenance needs promptly to the maintenance department.
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Communicate efficiently and professionally with Spa 1919 staff to coordinate services, scheduling, and guest experiences.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and department heads to support special events, tournaments, and high-volume days.
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings, mandatory staff meetings, and required training sessions.
- Maintain professionalism, productivity, and morale by addressing guest and staff inquiries and providing feedback or service improvement suggestions to management.
- Accurately record hours worked through proper clock-in/clock-out procedures.
- Monitor personal work hours and notify management when approaching overtime thresholds.
- Follow company asset-control procedures, including safeguarding member information and company equipment.
- Promptly report all member or employee accidents, injuries, safety concerns, or high-risk situations.
- Complete assigned side work and closing duties prior to the end of each shift.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Active Montana Cosmetology license in good standing.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent and team-oriented work capability with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to represent Rock Creek Cattle Company positively at all times.
- Valid driver’s license required if driving a company vehicle is assigned.

Work Environment
This position is performed in a fast-paced spa and hospitality environment. The employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, variable indoor and outdoor temperatures, and occasional extreme heat or cold. The role involves regular exposure to fragrances, oils, lotions, manicure products, and other scents commonly associated with the spa industry, as well as routine exposure to cleaning agents and chemicals used for sanitation. The work environment requires close interaction with guests, members, and team members, and adherence to all safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
