POSITION: Marketing & Social Media Assistant

LOCATION: Flexible 


POSITION SUMMARY

AEI is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our daily marketing efforts, manage our social media channels, assist with events and help execute campaigns to drive brand awareness and engagement. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Social Media Management: Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content (text, images, and video) across all platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook) to drive engagement.
  • Event Planning & Coordination: Research venues, coordinate event necessities (F&B, swag, etc.), be on-site at events to help set up booths and do registration.
  • Content Creation: Draft marketing materials, blog posts, newsletters, and creative content for social media channels.
  • Team Support: Support the marketing team in launching campaigns, updating website content, and managing project timelines.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on social media performance, website traffic, and campaign engagement metrics to help improve strategy.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with marketing team coordination, administrative support, and other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in a marketing and social media role.
  • Proficiency in major social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook) and social media management tools.
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· The work environment may be both indoors and outdoors. Indoor work takes place in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Outdoor work requires the ability to effectively perform work in all types of weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, type, handle office and/or field equipment, speak and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, balance, kneel or crouch. The employee may be required to travel independently and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.
