ABOUT THE POSITION (Hybrid, Travel Required)

The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership in advancing Visante’s pharmacy supply chain and consolidated service center (CSC) capabilities. This role is responsible for directing high-impact client engagements, setting the vision and approach for supply chain strategy, operational optimization, and centralized service models. The Director will own engagement outcomes, establish project governance, and ensure delivery excellence across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.


As a senior leader and recognized subject matter expert, the Director will lead and mentor cross-functional consulting teams, fostering strong performance, professional development, and best-practice execution. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, guiding critical operational and investment decisions, while also shaping Visante’s thought leadership, service offerings, and long-term growth in pharmacy supply chain and CSC services.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities       

  • Lead pharmacy supply chain and CSC strategy engagements, shaping transformation initiatives across complex healthcare environments.
  • Assess, design, and implement consolidated service center (CSC) models spanning centralized procurement, distribution, logistics, and service operations.
  • Advise clients on inventory optimization, procurement strategies, medication distribution, and operating models to improve cost, service, and performance.
  • Guide the selection and implementation of automation, technology, facility design, and workflow solutions aligned with leading practices and regulatory requirements. 
  • Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent client engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and achievement of defined   outcomes. 
  • Serve as a trusted senior advisor and primary client contact, leading executive discussions and translating complex analyses into actionable insight. 
  • Oversee rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses, developing practical recommendations and implementation roadmaps.
  • Build strong client and internal relationships, identify opportunities for engagement growth, and contribute to firm thought leadership. 
  • Lead clients through implementation to ensure adoption, sustainability, and measurable long-term impact.
  • Coach and mentor team members, collaborate across practices, and serve as a subject matter expert to strengthen Visante’s capabilities. 
Requirements

Education

Required: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.

Preferred: Advanced graduate degree (MS, MBA, MPH, or MHA). 

Experience

Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in health system pharmacy, healthcare consulting, or related operational leadership roles.

Demonstrated minimum of 2 years' experience leading large-scale strategic and operational initiatives within pharmacy supply chain environments, including inventory management, procurement, distribution, centralized services/CSC design or implementation, automation, and technology-enabled operating models, with working knowledge of applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations (e.g., licensing, distribution, 340B). 

Preferred:  Proven ability to lead complex, client-facing engagements—preferably in a consulting or advisory capacity—managing cross-functional workstreams, navigating ambiguity and transformation, and delivering high-impact outcomes. 

Licensure

Required: Must have an active pharmacist license.

  • Proven ability to lead and deliver complex client engagements, effectively managing multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes 
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, including planning, execution, risk mitigation, and delivery against defined timelines and budgets 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives 
  • Strong business acumen and relationship-building skills, enabling trusted advisor partnerships and alignment of operational solutions to strategic and financial outcomes 
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, adaptability, ownership mindset, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
