Job Summary

Build Systems. Improve How Work Gets Done. Make an Impact.

This isn’t a sit-back-and-observe internship.

We’re looking for an EHS Intern who wants to build, improve, and streamline how safety actually works across a global organization. This role is office-based, but highly connected to real operations—supporting island facilities and AUC construction teams.

You’ll focus on developing training, improving safety systems, and building workflows in KPA that are actually usable in the field. Your work will directly impact how teams plan work, reduce risk, and operate more efficiently.

If you’re interested in how systems, data, and communication drive safety—not just compliance—this is the role for you.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Build EHS Training That Actually      Works
    • Develop presentations,       onboarding content, and toolbox talks
    • Help translate real-world risks       into clear, practical training
  • Improve Safety Systems (KPA)
    • Build and update safety forms,       workflows, and templates
    • Test and refine processes to       ensure they are easy to use in the field
    • Help eliminate unnecessary       steps, confusion, and rework
  • Turn Data Into Insight
    • Review safety observations,       inspections, and reports
    • Identify trends, gaps, and       recurring issues
    • Support reporting that helps       leadership make better decisions
  • Work Across Teams and Locations
    • Collaborate with island       operations and AUC construction teams
    • Gather feedback and turn it into       system and process improvements
  • Support Real Program Improvements
    • Assist with updates to key EHS       programs (LOTO, Electrical Safety, HazCom, etc.)
    • Help standardize processes       across multiple locations
  • Help Drive Preventive Work
    • Support initiatives that move       the organization from reactive fixes to planned, efficient work
    • Contribute ideas that reduce       repeat issues and improve how work gets done

      What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in:
    • Environmental Health &       Safety
    • Occupational Safety
    • Engineering or related field
  • Strong interest in process      improvement, systems, and real-world application of safety
  • Someone who:
    • Notices details others miss
    • Asks questions and challenges       inefficiencies
    • Can take information and turn it       into something clear and usable
  • Comfortable working in a structured,      office-based role while collaborating with field teams
  • Strong communication and      organization skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office      (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
    • Interest in learning systems       like KPA is a big plus

What You’ll Get Out of It

  • Real experience building EHS      systems and tools used across a global company
  • Exposure to both operations      and construction environments
  • Hands-on work with training      development, workflows, and safety data systems
  • A clear understanding of how      safety ties into operations, maintenance, and business performance

Work Environment

  • Office-based position with regular interaction with:
    • Island operations teams
    • AUC construction teams
  • Your work will directly support      field operations—even if you’re not physically on site

Why This Role Stands Out

  • You won’t be doing busy work—you’ll      be building things that get used
  • You’ll see both what works and      what doesn’t—and help fix it
  • You’ll gain experience that most      entry-level candidates don’t have

Bottom Line

We’re looking for someone who wants more than a line on a resume.

If you want to understand how safety, operations, and systems actually come together—and be part of improving it—this is a strong opportunity to do that.
