Description

 Position Summary: The Customized Employment Manager leads and oversees customized employment services for individuals served by Community Based Services of The Moore Center.  This Manager ensures individualized, person-centered job development and long-term supports that align with each participant’s strengths, interests, and support needs.   


PAY: $23/hr. 


Essential Responsibilities:  

  • Hire, mentor, train, supervise and support Employment Specialists, Direct Support Professionals and Job Coaches of the Customized Employment Program 
  • Build and grow community networks that lead to employment opportunities for our clients  
  • Assist in recruitment/hiring and training of staff for the Customized Employment Program 
  • Ensure accurate billing of employment contracts  
  • Communicate with, educate and support employers who work with individuals of The Moore Center 
  • Work with programs and teams to develop innovative and individualized service options for clients 
  • Meet with employers/families/teams as needed 
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned 
Requirements

 

Qualifications:  

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Services or related field preferred 
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience  
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with people with disabilities in employment settings  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems 
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a safe operating vehicle during scheduled working hours

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to confidently present to community members about employment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to master new software 
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities and ensure timely follow-through 
  • Strong customer services skills 
  • Demonstrate the ability to encourage and motivate people 
  • Ability to think critically and make decisions 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems 
Salary Description
$23/hour
