Coordinate Events, Manage Operations, and Drive Engagement for a Mission-Driven Organization


Position Overview

The Advancement & Engagement Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring the success of events, outreach efforts, and advancement operations at the Maryland School for the Blind. This position combines event coordination, administrative operations, and donor data support to ensure that the organization’s engagement and fundraising efforts are well-organized, efficient, and impactful.


Key Responsibilities

Event & Engagement Coordination

  • Support the planning and execution of key events, including the See Beyond      Festival and Outreach initiatives
  • Track and support logistics, vendors, timelines, and on-site execution

Donor Data & CRM Support

  • Accurately enter and manage donation records in the CRM database
  • Ensure donor interactions and communications are properly documented
  • Support tracking and entry of vehicle donation data

Donor Acknowledgments & Stewardship Support

  • Generate timely, personalized acknowledgment letters
  • Support donor stewardship tracking and workflows

Purchasing & Financial Coordination

  • Manage departmental purchasing and expense tracking
  • Maintain records of invoices, receipts, and check requests
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation in partnership with Finance
Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit, events, or administrative roles
  • Strong organizational and detail management skills
  • Experience with CRM/database systems preferred
Salary Description
$67,136 - $69,849
