The Vice President, Consulting Services plays a critical role in Clearwater’s growth by leading the development and delivery of consulting services for our clients across the healthcare and defense industries. This leader is responsible for building and managing Clearwater’s risk management, privacy, and security. This leader will also serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating 

Working across all Clearwater verticals,

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Leadership & Strategy 

  • Align solutions with standards such as NIST AI RMF, HITRUST, and HIPAA. 
  • Identify market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging AI risks/opportunities relevant to our clients’ businesses.   
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into existing Clearwater services and platforms. 


Business Development & Revenue Growth 

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, creating, and supporting the sale consulting services  
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective clients  
  • Contribute to achieving revenue, utilization, and corporate performance targets 
  • Contribute to Clearwater’s thought leadership and governance through whitepapers, webinars, and industry events. 
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to position and grow services. 

Team Leadership & Development 


  • Provide leadership, coaching, and career development for consultants and managers  
  • Establish team goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans, consistent with Clearwater leadership expectations  
  • Establish and drive accountability for team performance to exceed  revenue, utilization, and overall financial goals. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with leaders across Security Services, Technical Testing, Privacy, Compliance, and other service lines to integrate AI into broader offerings  
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (security, data, engineering) to align AI initiatives with architecture, security, and compliance standards  

Governance, Risk & Compliance 

  • Develop frameworks, methodologies, and tools to support AI governance programs aligned with industry standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, HITRUST, HIPAA). 
  • Guide clients in implementing policies, controls, and oversight mechanisms across their lifecycle. 
  • Address key risk domains including data privacy, cybersecurity, model integrity, explainability. 
  • Monitor evolving regulations and ensure service offerings adapt accordingly  

Thought Leadership & Market Development 

  • Contribute to Clearwater’s thought leadership in risk and governance through whitepapers, webinars, and industry events. 
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to position and grow consulting services. 
  • Stay current on evolving regulatory requirements, standards, and best practices in healthcare. 
Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • 10+ years’ experience in healthcare, consulting, cybersecurity, digital transformation, or related field  
  • 6+ years in a client-facing consulting leadership role  
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling consulting service lines or practices  
  • Strong business acumen with experience in operational excellence or digital transformation 
  • Proven ability to lead teams through change and technology adoption 
  • Excellent communication skills (executive presentations, writing, and client engagement) 
  • Strong collaboration skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders 
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills 
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology or transformation initiatives  
  • Experience developing service offerings, frameworks, and methodologies  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related discipline; Master’s preferred. 
  • Demonstrated executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical audiences. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex cybersecurity concepts and influence decision-making among executive, technical, and non-technical audiences.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPECTATIONS 

The VP, Consulting Service (is expected to continuously deepen expertise in, risk management, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks to ensure Clearwater remains an industry leader. Ongoing development includes strengthening strategic influence, cross-functional leadership skills, and the ability to translate complex cybersecurity trends into scalable AI-enabled consulting services.
