EVENT COOKS (OFF-PREMISE EVENTS)

A fast-growing, high-end catering and events team is seeking dependable and motivated Event Cooks to support off-site productions throughout the Chicago area. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in dynamic environments, collaborating with a team, and executing food at a high level across a variety of unique venues.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with food prep, cooking, and execution for off-site events 
  • Follow recipes, production lists, and chef direction with consistency 
  • Support setup and breakdown of kitchen stations at event locations 
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards at all times 
  • Work collaboratively with chefs and team members to ensure smooth service 
  • Adapt quickly to different kitchens, venues, and event formats

You’ll have visibility into available shifts ahead of time, including key details like location, timing, and scope — giving you full control over your schedule.


Availability Expectations

  • Must be available for at least 2–3 weekend days per month 
  • Most events take place on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays

Additional Details

  • Events are held at various locations throughout the Chicago area 
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • This role involves being on your feet for extended periods and working in different environments (indoor/outdoor)
Requirements

Must legally be able to work within the US. 

Ability to stand for 8-12 hours at a time

Must be able to lift 25+ pounds


Must have valid Food Handlers Certification

Salary Description
$18-23/hr
