Senior Staff Accountant
Senior Staff accountant, overseeing the finances of the casino must know how to reconcile bank accounts, understand depreciation schedules, and manage the reconciliation process for general ledger accounts, including preparation of designated accounts, journal entries, month-end close, and preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial statements and reports.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares financial statements.
- Itemizing. accounts payable and accounts receivable, and tracking casino expenses.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepares consolidated monthly financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from subsidiaries.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data; including working with external auditors and subsidiary accounting departments.
- Owns intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and all entries.
- Implements accounting policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- At least 2 years of professional experience in casino accounting and financial
- Obtain licenses and certifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
