Description
Purpose for the Position:
To prepare food and serve breakfast to patrons at the counter or at tables.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Takes orders from customers and cooks food requiring short preparation time, according to customer requirements.
- Completes order from steam table and serves customer at table or counter.
- May clean food preparation equipment and work area to maintain a high sanitation standard.
- May clean counter or tables.
- Ensure that all food items are properly handled and stored at the conclusion of the shift.
- Properly rotates inventory.
- Work with manager to create specials and other menu variations.
- Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
- Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
- All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of food preparation health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to multi-task and exceed expectations of guests.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Use hands, arms, and fingers.
- Work to precise measurements.
- Visualize how finished product will look.
- Use arithmetic to measure, compute number of materials to use, and to inspect product to be sure it conforms to requirements.
Requirements
Physical Demands: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
Requirements
- High School completion or an equivalent level of education and experiences.
- Previous cook experience preferred.
