Key Result Areas:
- Facilitate at least one group session per week by the third month of internship.
- Support intake and orientation with clients independently by the last month of internship
- Complete assessments independently.
- Develop individualized treatment plans collaboratively with clients.
- Maintain a caseload of at least five clients.
- Coordinate an outside resource to share information with staff and clients
- Participate in weekly supervision, multidisciplinary, and clinical meetings.
- Ensure documentation meets 100% compliance standards.
- Complete charting on the same day as service delivery.
- Maintain a professional and HIPAA-compliant workspace (organized, clean, and free of spills).
Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)
- Provide individual therapy, group therapy, family programming, and case management that addresses the goals established on the treatment plan.
- Accurately document all services in Procentive and/or paper forms in accordance with NBHN policies, procedures, and governing body standards.
- Maintain thorough case activity notes and record all pertinent client information.
- Develop individualized, comprehensive treatment plans that reflect each client’s needs, completed in compliance with NBHN policies, procedures, and applicable standards.
- Complete and document client assessments in line with NBHN policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
- Actively participate in weekly case staffing and clinical supervision meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with outside agencies and community partners.
- Carry out discharge responsibilities in accordance with contracts, licensure standards, and NBHN policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of core competencies in treating co-occurring disorders through continuing education and integration of learned skills into practice.
- Maintain active enrollment and good standing within the graduate program placing the intern.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills and Experience: (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge skills and abilities)
- Be in internship/practicum course with an approved educational entity
- CPR Certification or attain within 30 days
- Must understand and follow NBH's Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check
- Must possess a current Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Ability to use Google Drive and other computer skills
Additional Skills and Experience: (Preferred or helpful)
- Familiar with medication for opioid use disorder Model
- Motivational Interviewing Approach
- Familiar with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System
