Requirements

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Sr. Specialty Veterinary Recruiter will partner with the executive management team, our doctors and investors to lead the company’s recruitment efforts through its next phase of growth. The Sr. Specialty Veterinary Recruiter will be responsible for providing overall strategic and operational direction for the company’s recruitment function, collaborating with the field management team to identify key open positions across the AOSN portfolio of clinics and actively recruit to fill these positions. This position will develop key performance indicators and processes that support the successful operation of the company’s recruitment strategies to ensure efficiencies from the top of the funnel to hiring candidates, along with results reporting.


In addition to superior recruitment acumen, it is critical that the Sr. Specialty Veterinary Recruiter possesses and demonstrates the maturity, integrity, commitment, initiative, personality, and professional behavior to fully support the business effectively. The ideal candidate for this role is a recruitment professional, preferably with animal health industry experience, with the leadership skills to manage the organization during an exciting period of growth. AOSN is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Specialty Veterinary Recruiter to lead and oversee the recruitment strategy and operations of our veterinary organization. This leadership role requires a visionary approach to attract, recruit and retain top talent.


Talent Acquisition:

  • Design and execute recruitment campaigns to attract diverse candidates across all levels, including active residents, board-eligible associates and diplomates.
  • Optimize sourcing strategies ranging from direct sourcing, networking and expansion of partnerships with veterinary schools and associations.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with department heads and senior management to understand hiring needs and business objectives.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Marketing teams to enhance company’s branding, onboarding and candidate experience.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide weekly reports to senior management on recruitment metrics and outcomes.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine recruitment processes and improve efficiency.

Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure recruitment practices are in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Stay informed about best practices in recruitment, making recommendations for continuous improvements.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the recruitment budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies are implemented without compromising quality.
  • Identify deviations from plans and forecasts and provide pro-active recommendations to CEO.

Performs all other related duties/special projects as directed by the CEO pertaining to recruitment.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field experience in recruitment.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the healthcare services industry is a plus (animal health industry experience ideal). Open to other complex, multi-site and/or service industry experience as well.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful recruitment strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results.
  • Preferred to be currently located in, or able to relocate to, Irvine, California.


AOSN will offer a compensation arrangement commensurate with this opportunity, which includes a competitive base salary as well as attractive short and long-term incentive plan.

Salary Description
$110,000 - $130,000 / year depending on experience
