Description

The Logistics Coordinator at Costa is a highly organized individual passionate about logistics coordination, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. As part of the Transportation team, they will be responsible for executing initiatives that support delivery operations, effective communication, and constant process improvement.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond promptly to both emergency and non-emergency phone calls and emails to ensure seamless logistics support.
  • Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve in-transit issues by coordinating with internal departments, customers, and vendors.
  • Recommend and implement timely solutions to delivery challenges to maintain on-time performance standards.
  • Manage and organize multiple inboxes efficiently, prioritizing communications based on urgency and impact.
  • Continuously monitor delivery routes to ensure adherence to schedules and proactively flag potential delays.
  • Schedule delivery appointments and serve as the liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams to meet time-sensitive delivery requirements.
  • Provide accurate delivery ETAs and appointment confirmations to customers and field representatives.
  • Communicate all in-transit disruptions or changes to customers in a proactive, timely, and professional manner.
  • Utilize logistics software (e.g., BluJay, Direct Route, PC Miler) to optimize routing and delivery planning.
  • Maintain and update appointment logs to ensure records are current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, or transportation planning.
  • Leverage Outlook for scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays during peak seasons (Spring).
  • Candidate must reside in the Greater Santo Domingo area.
