We are seeking a highly capable Software Product Owner who understands how to bridge customer needs, commercial priorities, and software delivery in a fast-moving healthcare technology environment.
Job Summary:
The Software Product Owner will own the product backlog and execution priorities for key software platforms that support our orthodontic customers and internal operations. This individual will work closely with customers, commercial leaders, software engineering, UX/UI, operations, and executive leadership to translate business opportunities into clear product requirements and delivered solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience serving medical or healthcare professionals in a B2B software environment, understands regulated industries, and thrives in agile product development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership & Delivery
· Own and prioritize the product backlog for assigned software products and enhancements.
· Translate business goals, customer feedback, and market needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
· Partner with engineering teams to drive sprint planning, release readiness, and successful delivery.
· Ensure solutions are scalable, user-friendly, and aligned with company strategy.
· Balance short-term customer needs with long-term platform scalability and product strategy.
Customer & Market Engagement
· Gather feedback directly from orthodontists, dental practices, DSOs, and other professional customers to understand workflow and clinical requirements.
· Understand pain points, operational needs, and opportunities for automation.
· Represent the voice of the customer in internal planning discussions.
· Monitor market trends, competitors, and adjacent healthcare technology innovations.
Cross-Functional Leadership
· Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Clinical, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance teams.
· Support go-to-market launches, product adoption strategies, and change management efforts.
· Coordinate with Quality/Regulatory teams where product changes impact medical device or healthcare compliance requirements.
Metrics & Continuous Improvement
· Define KPIs for product success including adoption, retention, efficiency gains, and revenue impact.
· Use analytics and customer insights to continuously improve product outcomes.
· Balance quick wins with long-term strategic roadmap priorities.
· Data-driven mindset with strong business acumen.

Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience
· Master’s degree strongly preferred
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within a software development organization.
· Experience working in the medical, dental, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
· Experience with SaaS platforms serving healthcare providers.
· Experience with regulated software environments (FDA, HIPAA, quality systems).
· Experience supporting B2B customers who are licensed professionals (physicians, dentists, orthodontists, etc.).
· Working knowledge of software development lifecycle processes, release planning, QA testing, defect triage, and production support.
Preferred Requirements:
· Familiarity with dental, orthodontic, imaging, manufacturing, or treatment planning workflows.
· Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Figma, or similar.
· Experience leveraging modern AI-enabled product tools and platforms (such as generative AI, analytics copilots, workflow automation, customer insight tools, or software development acceleration tools) to improve product management effectiveness, decision-making, and delivery speed.
