Door of Hope, a Christian nonprofit that serves families facing homelessness, is looking for an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Development (fundraising) Team to provide high-level support to our executive leadership team. 


In this role, you will support the CEO and Chief Development Officer (CDO), ensuring they operate at maximum effectiveness. With a strong focus on donor engagement, board coordination, and executive priorities, you will play a critical role in removing logistical barriers so leadership can focus on relationships, strategy, and mission impact.

Hours 

  • 40 hours/week, occasional overtime  
  • 4 days in-person, 1 day from home (preference will be considered, but not guaranteed as schedule is based on office coverage needs) 
Requirements

Responsibilities 

Office Manager – 50% of role 

  • Create a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment at Door of Hope’s main office for staff and guests (including clients, donors, and Board members) 

Primary Receptionist 

  • Manages front door operations (front door intercom and buzz-in system) prioritizing a warm welcome to guests and safety of staff; professionally respond to phone calls and emails, and processes mail and packages 

General Office Support 

  • Keep our office running smoothly by maintaining an orderly office environment, keeping office supplies in stock and storage spaces across office site well-organized, managing parking passes, and liaising with landlord regarding facilities issues 

General Troubleshooting 

  • Answer general staff and guest inquiries 

Executive Assistant – 50% of role 

Donor Engagement Execution & Coordination 

  • Execute on donor engagement plans by ensuring all CEO/CDO-donor touchpoints are scheduled, prepared, coordinated, tracked and followed through with excellence.  
  • Draft and coordinate donor communications on behalf of CEO/CDO.  
  • Conduct and coordinate prospect research and donor briefings to support effective engagement. 

Board Coordination 

  • Lead coordination of board meetings, including scheduling, logistics, materials, communication, and follow-through.  
  • Draft board reports and communication on behalf of CEO. 

Administrative Coordination & Leadership Support 

  • Manage up to CEO and CDO, proactively tracking next steps and ensuring no commitments or opportunities stall.  
  • Capture meeting notes and translate them into clear next steps, ensuring accountability and forward momentum.  
  • Coordinate CEO’s staff and community engagement and support organization-wide initiatives.  
  • Manage expense reporting, scheduling, technology needs and administrative workflows to remove friction and maximize leadership effectiveness. 

Qualifications 

  • 3–5+ years supporting senior executives.  
  • Exceptional written communication skills.  
  • Strong organizational, project management and people skills.  
  • High discretion with confidential information.  
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite.  
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred (Salesforce).  
  • Design savvy and experience with Canva and PowerPoint preferred. 

Compensation & Benefits  

Expected compensation: $27-32/hour, depending on experience
