Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Graphic Designer to support our production and screen-printing operations. This role focuses on preparing, adjusting, and optimizing artwork for high-quality print output while collaborating closely with the screen print department. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and has a strong understanding of print processes, color management, and file preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and finalize customer-supplied and in-house designs for screen printing production
- Separate artwork by color and create print-ready files for multi-color jobs
- Adjust designs to meet screen printing requirements, including trapping, halftones, and proper resolution
- Ensure color accuracy using Pantone matching and color calibration techniques
- Collaborate with the screen print team to ensure designs translate effectively from digital to physical prints
- Review proofs and conduct pre-production checks to minimize errors and waste
- Maintain organized file systems and version control for production assets
- Collaborate with Marketing for ad campaigns and other marketing projects
- Operate within production timelines and prioritize multiple jobs simultaneously
- Troubleshoot artwork issues and recommend improvements for print quality and efficiency
- 2+ years of graphic design experience in a production or print environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop; InDesign a plus)
- Strong understanding of screen-printing processes, including separations and ink behavior
- Experience with vector artwork and preparing files for print production
- Knowledge of color theory, Pantone systems, and color matching
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
