Position Summary:

The F.A. Davis Account Development Coordinatoris responsible for the dual role of Sales Support as well as nurturing accounts and opportunities within the defined sales territories. This position will also be working closely with Marketing and Sales Management.


Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, persistent, and able to prioritize tasks
  • Personal integrity, independent work ethic, self-motivated, and ability to exhibit team spirit required
  • Ability to develop rapport, understand customer needs/pain points, overcome objections, and persuade (in order to be able to successfully execute a consultative selling approach)
  • Highly developed verbal, written, and phone-based communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required
  • Experience supporting digital or online products preferred

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for New Opportunities to assist Career Managers and Educational Consultants. Engagement with potential leads to grow into opportunities, including meeting with instructors to review the product offerings, deliver presentations, answer questions, engage in follow-up, etc.
  • Maintain, and keep all account records in CRM system, including data uncovered while prospecting and documentation of communication with customers
  • Support Regional Managers and Sales Managers with open territories, including managing customer inquiries and delivering sales presentations to potential customers
  • Maintain strong level of digital and print product knowledge to uncover, advance opportunities and close opportunities in assigned territories as needed.
  • Support Sales Department with CRM system rollout changes, including documentation and training sessions
  • Support Sales Department by auditing CRM, including accurate program, content and product set up
  • Complete special projects as assigned by Sales Management

Account Development Coordinator I:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, customer care and/or technical support experience
  • Frequently directed in work, work is closely managed.
  • Developing a strong understanding of organizational processes and contributing to day-to-day operational tasks.

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Work conducted in a home office setting
  • High-speed internet access (at least 25 mbps download and 5 mbps upload) that must be reliable, available, accessible, and secure to successfully work from home.
  • Regular communication through verbal, written, visual, and auditory means
  • Attendance of virtual meetings, including “camera on” meeting requirements
  • Frequent sitting, computer work
  • Repetitive movement of hands and fingers – typing and/or writing
  • Limited travel may be required for company/team events
