MeatEater, Inc. is seeking highly-motivated transitioning service members to join our team as a DoW SkillBridge Individual Intern.
This opportunity is open to active duty service members within 180 days of separation and in good standing with the Military. MeatEater offers an unpaid DoW Skillbridge Individual Internship designed to expose qualified service members from any military background to the professional outdoor industry. This internship allows service members to apply previous experience in a variety of business sectors.
Education/Training
- Requirement: Active-duty service member eligible for the DoW Skillbridge Individual Internship; in full compliance with all military training, medical readiness, and body composition requirements. Must be within the 180-day window of separation from active duty, gain command approval, and cover individual travel, lodging, and expenses.
- Preferred: Relevant Degree or certification.
Experience
- Preferred: Relevant Experience: Sales, Operations, Photography, Videography, etc.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
- Strong interest in Hunting, Fishing, and Conservation.
- You must be a self starter
Logistics and Compensation
- Schedule: Full-time commitment, not to exceed 40 hours in any given week.
- Duration: Typically spans 60 to 120 days, conducted in-person in Bozeman.
- Relocation: Interns are responsible for managing their own travel and housing arrangements.
- Compensation: In accordance with Department of Defense regulations, interns continue to receive their military pay and benefits but shall not receive compensation of any kind from MeatEater, Inc.
- Location: This internship is located in Bozeman, Montana. This internship is not remote.
- Reports to: MeatEater DoW Skillbridge Coordinator (Nate Mason) and various department leads.
