Vision Quest Solutions is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide pediatric inpatient nursing care in support of a federal healthcare mission serving a native population.
This is a full-time inpatient hospital role in a pediatric and medical-surgical setting. Nurses in this role deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where clinical skill, cultural respect, and teamwork are essential.
Position Overview
RNs in this role provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric and medical-surgical nursing care, including:
- Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Medication administration and IV therapy management
- Monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition
- Pediatric and adult medical-surgical patient support (including high-acuity cases)
- Participation in emergency response
- Collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary care teams
- Accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic systems
- Ensuring patient safety, infection control, and compliance with hospital protocols
Work Schedule
- Rotating schedule (typically 3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the next)
- Includes weekends and holidays as part of a 24/7 inpatient hospital environment

Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state or territory
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience, including medical-surgical or inpatient hospital experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Ability to pass required federal background investigation
- Strong clinical judgment in acute care settings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment with Native populations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to comply with HIPAA, federal healthcare regulations, and facility protocols
- Willingness to float to other inpatient units as needed based on patient care needs
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in inpatient pediatric or medical-surgical units
- Experience in rural, critical access, or government healthcare settings
- Familiarity with high-acuity monitoring, IV therapy, and pediatric respiratory care
- Prior experience with IHS preferred, but not required
