We are looking for an experienced and skilled Workers' Compensation Specialist to join our team.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full scope of workers’ compensation activities and serve as a key point of contact for employees and leadership.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on workers’ compensation, leave regulations, and disability programs and our safety program.
  • Oversee return-to-work planning, including modified or transitional assignments.
  • Complete and submit First Reports of Injury in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Act as a liaison between employees, healthcare providers, and third-party administrators.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records within claims management systems.
  • Conduct ongoing check-ins with employees throughout their recovery.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including participation in periodic claim reviews.
  • Support investigations as needed, including documentation and on-site follow-up.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to policies to maintain compliance with current regulations.
  • Interface with attorneys and represent the agency at hearings.

Work Environment: Primarily office based with occasional travel requirements. This position may involve light physical activity including lifting up to 30 lbs on occasion.

Requirements

This role is ideal for someone who can guide employees through the workers’ compensation process with both  professionalism and empathy, ensuring a smooth path from injury to  return-to-work. 


What You Bring

  • 2 or more years experience with claims administration, case management, or a related field (required) 
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation, ADA or applicable laws and regulations (required) 
  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field (required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using the benefits or claims systems 
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Salary Description
$26 - $30/hour
