Job Information
We have an immediate opening in our electrical division for a Territory Manager in either the Peoria, IL; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Dubuque, IA areas to call on a well-established book of accounts.
Role & Responsibility
- Establish and maintain customer relationships in order to grow profitable business.
- Implement the Sales Playbook process to support sales, margin, forecasting and 4 star customer goals.
- Assists customers with problem solving, takeoffs, project layout/design and in quoting bills of material and project management as needed and with the assistance of our inside sales team.
- Prepares, generates and follows up on quotations and communicate with Inside sales to turn quotes into orders upon request.
- Cooperate with qualified suppliers to secure mutual business through joint calls.
- Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner and maintain a professional image of self and work environment.
- Stay current on existing and emerging product and technologies including attending product training classes, trade shows and sales meetings.
- Introduce and demonstrate new products to assigned accounts.
- Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
- Develop an effective and productive working relationship with Inside Sales, Counter Sales and support personnel.
- Complete sales call and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirement
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- Experience Required: 3-5 years of industry experience in a sales role with demonstrated sales success
- Experience using CRM software like salesforce, hubspot, etc
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability use Microsoft Suite of products; Word, Excel, Teams etc
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time working at a desk in front of computer screens
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, throughout the day.
- Ability to drive for extended periods of time.
- Ability to talk on the phone and type emails
Work Environment
- Combination of office environment, driving, and customer facility environments.
