Description
The CNA provides compassionate, hands on care to patients with life-limiting ailments, focusing on their comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility support, and monitoring basic vital signs. The CNA works closely with hospice nurses and the interdisciplinary hospice team, following individualized care plans, reporting changes in patient condition, and supporting the emotional needs of both patients and their families. Strong communication skills, empathy, and respect for end-of-life care practices are essential. Previous CNA certification and experience in hospice or long-term care preferred.
