Description

Arizona Baptist Children’s Services & Family Ministries (ABCS) is a faith-based nonprofit that includes seven ministries with one mission: to provide hope and care to hurting children and families through Christ-centered ministries. Together, we serve the full spectrum of Arizona families, from unborn babies to seniors. You can help impact communities and provide hope & care by serving in the Human Resources Department. This is a full-time 32 hour/week position and will be filled in our Tucson office.


As a Human Resources Ministry Support Specialist you will:

  • Serve as the main backup for answering phones in our Statewide office.
  • Execute all HR processes regarding employee onboarding and contract compliance.
  • Complete, maintain, and send out reports by required deadlines.
  • Maintain databases and filing systems, whether electronic or paper.
  • Understand personnel file requirements as outlined in the ABCS policy manual and contracts with the State of Arizona and ensure all files meet requirements.
  • Have a working knowledge of all other HR procedures in order to serve as backup as needed.
  • Communicate with staff from various ministries by drafting routine memos and other reports.
  • Continually evaluate current processes and documents and update as needed.
  • Monitor and validate all counselors’ sessions, payments, outstanding sessions, and sponsorships.
  • Complete payroll and submit payroll reports to Finance and counselors.
  • Monitor and add all employee travel requests such as car rentals/hotels and communicate to vendors.
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA and our confidentiality agreement.
  • Work independently and be trusted to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.


Requirements
  • You agree with the ABCS Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Guiding principles.
  • ABCS prioritizes calling and fit for the ministry and is willing to train the right individual; however, a degree, training or experience in an administrative field is preferred.
  • Must be detailed-oriented and be able to complete data entry with accuracy.
  • Must be able to effectively operate computers as well as other office equipment.
  • Able to effectively utilize programs such as Paylocity, QuickBase, Microsoft Office and any other technology required to carry out essential job functions.
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and oral, and have the ability to form interpersonal relationships, think critically and problem solve.
  • Have the ability to step back and see the bigger picture of how small pieces fit into the overall focus of providing support to staff and leadership statewide.


Salary/Benefits

  • Full-time employees with Arizona Baptist Children's Services receive a health benefits package that contributes over $11,000 of their total annual benefits package, including full medical, supplemental medical, short-term disability and $35,000 of life insurance at NO COST.
  • All employees receive seven paid holidays per year and earn paid sick leave. Full-time employees will also earn eight days of paid time off and four personal choice days per year.

Salary Description
$19 - $20/hour DOE
