Aerospace Precision Machinist

Key Responsibilities
- Operate one or more machine tools, including special purpose machines and industrial 3- and 4-axis CNC machines, to produce metal workpieces according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements in English.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and precision.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machines, particularly 3- and 4-axis CNC equipment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications in English.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Role and Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings (GD&T principles), manufacturing process specifications, and manipulate 3D models used in preparation for machining.
- Employee is competent and trustworthy to safely perform with minimum supervision and meet the requirements of the Machine Shop.
- Able to operate program and operate CNC. (Mastercam, Fusion 360)
- Ability to use all Modern and Conventional (Bridgeport, lathe, drill press, press brake, etc) Machine Shop equipment.
- Ability to Design and Fabricate jigs, fixtures, tools and dies for ease of machining or manufacturing parts in volume in a consistent and repetitive manner
- Ability to identify appropriate materials and tool hardness for varying applications and maintain shop supply inventory
Qualification and Education Requirements

- 15+ Years experience in a Machine Shop, Tool & Die Maker. Engineering background preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to read equipment manuals.
- Extensive knowledge of soldering process and techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- This position involves exposure to projects and contracts subject to the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR). As result, only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment in this role. Applicants must meet these requirements to be considered.

- This position directly supervises one employee and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Proficiency Skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Safety Requirements
- This position requires the use of approved safety footwear (ASTM F-2413 complaint) when accessing or working in production and workshop areas.

- MRP/ERP (Visual Manufacturing) experience or similar preferred
- CAD/Model based design software (solidworks, Fusion 360, Catia)
