Description

    

Chevo is hiring an experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and become a trusted advisor.  Ideal candidates will provide support services for financial functions, including developing pricing plans, strategies, models, and other calculations for determining accurate costs and ROI for IT projects, products, and services to be offered by DISC using DISC IT applications/systems. This position is remote. However, at any time this could become a hybrid/in-person position, with office locations in Washington DC and Kansas City MO.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze current business processes and recommend solutions for increased efficiency.
  • Provide a full range of financial management services capabilities are needed by DISC.
  • Support Contract Lifecycle Management tool requirements to ensure proper financial reporting and contract oversight.
  • Elicit, analyze, and funding documentation from stakeholders.
  • Manage workflows and access updates that improve financial data accuracy and reporting timeliness.
  • Define IAS management reporting requirements needed for timely financial oversight and prevention of missed payments or contract obligations.
  • Produce/update documentation (narratives, flowcharts, and matrices) for various financial processes and assist in identifying remedial actions.
  • Assess DISC’s financial and business challenges through structured formal business process review to develop integrated solutions.
  • Provide assistance for the compilation of the USDA’s monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with Circular A-136 “Financial Reporting Requirements.” 
  • Provide reporting on budget execution, preparing and submitting correct templates for reflecting Standard General Ledger (SGL) accounts.
  • Provide assistance with the subsequent review and preparation of information presented Develop and recommend procedures and provide strategies in the formulation, justification, defense, and/or execution of the Agency’s budget.
  • Document SOPs that support financial governance, standardization, and reporting consistency.


Requirements

  

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to identify business needs, analyzes processes, and finds solutions to problems, acting as a liaison between Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), business stakeholders (USDA Customers: external and internal) and technical teams.
  • Strong data analysis, process modeling, strategic thinking, and communication/ decision-making skills.
  • Strong experience using Excel to interpret large datasets, creating visualizations, and build financial summary reporting.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements for optimization plans/options, ensuring solutions align with goals (Customers, SMCS Division, USDA).
  • Strong Microsoft Suite experience.


SALARY RANGE: $110,000 - $129,000
