Packaging Associate (Kitting Dept)
Description

The Packer is responsible for accurately and efficiently packing printed materials and products according to customer specifications and company quality standards. This role supports production operations by ensuring finished goods are properly assembled, packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pack printed products, marketing materials, and other items by hand according to job specifications
  • Inspect materials for quality, accuracy, and completeness before packaging
  • Assemble packages, cartons, and displays as required
  • Label, tag, and prepare finished goods for shipping or distribution
  • Follow detailed instructions from job tickets, work orders, or supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Assist with sorting, counting, bundling, and stacking materials
  • Report defects, shortages, or inconsistencies to supervisors promptly
  • Meet production quotas and deadlines while maintaining quality standards
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in packaging, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Basic Math and counting skills
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Can effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Physical Requirements 

  • Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending
  • Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination
  • Requires near visual acuity
