JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY

The Mobile Technician is responsible for performing open service recalls, software updates, recommendations, and ensure adherence to safety standards while providing excellent customer service.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Travel to client locations to perform requested/required functions.

· Ensure highest standard/quality of workmanship on all maintenance requirements.

· Follow factory and dealership service standards for quality and safety.

· Perform diagnostic scans to identify issues and confirm recall readiness.

· Install factory software updates or infotainment system upgrades as part of recall or service packages.

· Use dealership approved diagnostic tools to ensure updates are applied correctly and safely.

· Operate a mobile service truck professionally, keeping it clean, stocked and organized.

· Explain recall requirements, safety importance, and update benefits to customers.

· Provide clear instructions for post-service care and follow-up steps.

· Maintain professionalism, reliability, and punctuality in all customer interactions.

· Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while working on road.

· Ensure all work complies with recall compliance requirements.

· Order and manage parts and supplies as needed.

· Maintain accurate repair records, including parts used, time spent, and customer communication.

Requirements

  

QUALIFICATIONS 

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.

· Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, preferably in a mobile service role.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining deadlines and follow up.


GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS

· Ensure you are clocking in/out each day via Paylocity and having lunches every day.

· Complete repairs within set promise times, resetting if necessary.

· Ensure 100% completion of MPI inspections.

· Follow all warranty procedures and maintain required certifications.

· Meet dealership performance metrics and adapt strategies as needed.

· Adhere to safety protocols and dealership standards to ensure a safe working environment and quality service.

· Oversee the daily workflow, ensuring all customers on the route are accounted for.

Salary Description
$25.00-$35.00 per hour + incentives
