Project Coordinator - Security
Description

The role of the Security Project Coordinator is to assist in the planning and execution of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Security Project Coordinator will monitor the project’s objectives and quality control throughout its life cycle.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the direction and management of access control, video surveillance, and intrusion system projects from beginning to end.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. 
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. 
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. 
  • Assist with the management of changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. 
  • Assist with the completion and delivery of project closeout documentation to include invoices, construction documentation, and warranty service.
  • Participate in project lesson learned meetings to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associates degree (vocational/technical/business school strongly preferred).
  • Construction or Security experience preferred. 
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. 
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in customer service.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last three years.

Additional Notes

  • Probationary period of 90 days. 
  • Individuals with a felony or misdemeanor convictions MAY not be hired.
  • Individuals must not have any alcohol or drug-related convictions or suspensions within the past three years.
  • Individual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Individual must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirements.
  • Individual must be available to work variable hours and willing to travel.
