The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting our employee owners, managing complex HR operations and partnering with leaders to understand and develop solutions for their specific needs and challenges.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted resource to employees and managers, ensuring timely and accurate responses, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Offer guidance to employees and leaders (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, investigations). 
  • Provide policies, procedures and laws interpretation to employees and leaders. Identify and develop policies and programs to enhance Wenthe culture. 
  • Partner with hiring managers on job descriptions, interviewing practices, selection, and offer process; ensure a consistent candidate experience. Manage relationship with temporary agencies. 
  • Assist employees with benefit and leave questions; coordinate with vendors and payroll; support administration of ADA/interactive process and FMLA/leave workflows (as applicable).
  • In conjunction with HR Director, work with employees and leadership to improve work relationships, build morale and increase safety awareness and employee retention. 
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records; produce routine and ad hoc reports/metrics; support data integrity and process improvements. Support engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications; help reinforce company values.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the HR function and implement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of the HR team.
  • Create standard and ad hoc reports. Help identify trends and potential issues based on HR metrics. Analyze data and make recommendations. 
  • Lead or support HR projects, such as process redesign, policy rollouts, compensation/benchmarking support, or implementation of HR tools.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. HR certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR) or progress toward certification preferred.
  • Five years of progressive HR generalist experience. Manufacturing or distribution center environment experience preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 
  • Sound judgment and high integrity; maintains confidentiality.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful or challenging situations.
  • Strong consulting and coaching approach; able to influence without authority.
  • Commitment to equitable, consistent, and respectful workplace practices.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and report data in an accurate, timely and meaningful manner.
  • Basic project management skills, including monitoring completion of tasks against a project plan and communicating project status updates. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
