About the Role

As a Software Trainer I, you'll embark on a journey of empowerment, guiding new clients through the intricacies of our software with precision and expertise. Whether conducting virtual or in-person training sessions, your goal remains unwavering: to empower clients with the tools and knowledge needed to unlock the full potential of PHA-Web. With a focus on building confidence and proficiency, you'll pave the way for a more efficient and effective working environment for housing authorities nationwide.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, steady, and detail-oriented, with the ability to guide others through complex processes.

This role is best suited for someone who prefers:

  • Clear structure and defined processes
  • Seeing projects through from start to finish
  • Working closely with clients while maintaining control of details
  • Solving practical problems in real time
Requirements

How the Role Works

This is a progressive role with a structured ramp-up.

  • First 3 weeks: onboarding and system training
  • Next 6–12 months: working in Support to build deep product knowledge
  • Then: transition into Training & Implementation

What You’ll Be Responsible For (Long-Term)

  • Leading client onboarding projects (typically 2–3 months)
  • Delivering remote and onsite training sessions
  • Guiding clients through both operational and financial workflows
  • Ensuring clients are confident using the system after go-live
  • Supporting internal efforts like documentation and curriculum development

What Makes Someone Successful Here

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable working within structured processes
  • Able to stay calm and effective with frustrated or overwhelmed clients
  • Clear communicator who can break down complex topics
  • Working knowledge of accounting or financial processes

Work Environment

  • Hybrid (remote + onsite travel when working with clients)
  • Onsite Client Travel up to 50% of time dependent on Client Load
  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Fridays reserved for internal work and focused tasks such as reconciliations, documentation, team meetings, and non-client facing conversion tasks

Reality of the Role

This is not a presentation-only training job. You’ll be responsible for helping clients actually use the system correctly. This will involve acting in a Project Manager capacity, building out software structure, training end users on the platform, and ensuring that all financial data is correct upon launch. Clients may be busy, short-staffed, or resistant—patience and structure matter!

Expected Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 DOE
