Overall Position Purpose
The Managing Director, Certification position exists to lead and evolve our mature certification business unit. This role drives strategic authority, operational control, and accountability to sustain growth and protect quality. This role will ensure the complex, high-stakes credentialing programs are delivered with precision, consistency, and efficiency. The Managing Director, Certification will promote and support the Inteleos culture of inclusivity.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute the overall business strategy, including annual operating plans, OKRs, and multi-year roadmap;
- Own full profit and loss performance for the certification business, including revenue, margin, and long-term financial sustainability;
- Ensure delivery of secure , reliable and zero-defect credentialing programs across all certifications;
- Maintain compliance with ANSI/ISO accreditation standards and ensure audit readiness and success;
- Make enterprise-aligned investment and resource allocation decisions across operations, technology, and growth initiatives;
- Drive revenue growth through new certifications, market expansion, and strategic partnerships;
- Establish and strengthen our market positions as the gold standard in healthcare credentialing;
- Set the strategic direction of the certification portfolio across initial certification and Maintenance of Certification (MOC);
- Define the certification product roadmap, including prioritization of feature, enhancements, and investments;
- Lead the pricing strategy development and recommendations across the certification programs and offerings;
- Evaluate and launch new certification products, including business case development and go-to-market alignment;
- Oversee full credentialing lifecycle to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability;
- Drive operational efficiency and scalability through process optimization, while preserving quality, compliance, and exam integrity;
- Provide strategic oversight and alignment for ARDMS and APCA Councils and related governance;
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Finance, HR, and Marketing teams to deliver integrated business outcomes; and
- Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Environment
- Works under executive guidance, with considerable latitude in determining work objectives.

Work Environment
The incumbent will work at a desk in an office environment or an approved remote location. This position may require evening and weekend hours, as well as occasional travel. There are minimal requirements to lift or move equipment.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field;
- Master’s Degree, preferred;
- Minimum of ten years of experience in certification, credentialing, assessment, or related fields, with a deep understanding of regulated, high stakes operational environments;
- Minimum seven years in a management role, overseeing teams and leading strategic projects; and
- Minimum five years of project management experience.
Required Qualifications/ Skills
- Proven track record of developing and executing business strategy in regulated or compliance-driven environments;
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, product innovation, and market expansion;
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing strategy, portfolio management, and product lifecycle decisions;
- Deep experience leading operations in quality-critical environments with a focus on precision, reliability, and continuous improvement;
- Experience with accreditation, certification, or regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ANSI, ISO, or equivalent);
- Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency and scalability while maintaining or enhancing quality standards;
- Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams of 30+ staff, including multiple layers of leadership
- Strong organizational leadership skills, including performance management, talent development, and succession planning;
- Experience leading organizational change, transformation, or restructuring initiatives;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in matrixed environments and influence across enterprise functions;
- Experience engaging with boards, councils, or volunteer governance structures;
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive and external stakeholders; and
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technology, automation, and AI to enhance operational performance and customer experience.
