Requirements

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of a 2-5-person crew.
  • Operate heavy excavation equipment
  • Utilize heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill sanitary sewer, storm sewer, gas mains, water mains and fire mains.
  • Coordinate equipment and material deliveries to the job site.
  • sequence pipe installation and workflow for job efficiency.
  • Continually inspect work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
  • Responsible for crew safety. Establish a safe work environment that complies with the Company safety program and OSHA.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret job plans and specifications.
  • Ability to layout line and grade using surveying equipment.
  • Observe assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assure the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Analyze job cost reports to ensure production is within budget.
  • Review and approve employee time reporting.
  • Maintain professional relationship with others within the company and our clients.
  • Must be able to carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds

·Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Excavation and Site-Utility.
  • Ability to coordinate and motivate field labor.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Ohio Fire main license preferred.
