RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Provide rigorous, engaging instruction in assigned subject area(s), fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and academic growth.
- Create a structured, respectful classroom environment that promotes student ownership, accountability, and a positive learning culture.
- Support the development of the “whole student” through intentional relationships and mentorship.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support students at varying levels of readiness.
- Prepare students for future success by building strong study habits, communication skills, and personal responsibility.
- Partner with families through clear, consistent communication regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Integrate faith meaningfully into instruction and classroom culture, modeling Christ-centered character and guiding students in biblical truth.
- Contribute to a strong secondary culture, including involvement in school events, collaboration with colleagues, and student life.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in the subject area or related field required
- Valid teaching certificate required
- Experience teaching in a secondary setting (middle or high school) preferred
