Painter
Description

This role is responsible for preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces to maintain and enhance the appearance and condition of residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate takes pride in high quality workmanship, follows safety standards, and completes projects efficiently with minimal disruption. Travel to various apartment buildings is required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and priming
  • Paint interior and exterior walls, ceilings, trim, doors, railings, and other surfaces
  • Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, finishes, and coatings
  • Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, and coverings
  • Repair minor drywall, plaster, and surface imperfections as needed
  • Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and painting equipment
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition
  • Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company standards
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding project status, materials needed, and timelines
  • Complete work orders and assignments within established timeframes





Requirements
  • Proven experience as a painter (residential, commercial, or both)
  • Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, and materials
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if traveling between sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in apartment or property management settings
  • Drywall repair or light carpentry experience
  • OSHA 10 certification or similar safety training

Compensation

$23 - $25 per hour
