Description
This role is responsible for preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces to maintain and enhance the appearance and condition of residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate takes pride in high quality workmanship, follows safety standards, and completes projects efficiently with minimal disruption. Travel to various apartment buildings is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and priming
- Paint interior and exterior walls, ceilings, trim, doors, railings, and other surfaces
- Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, finishes, and coatings
- Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, and coverings
- Repair minor drywall, plaster, and surface imperfections as needed
- Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and painting equipment
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition
- Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company standards
- Communicate with supervisors regarding project status, materials needed, and timelines
- Complete work orders and assignments within established timeframes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a painter (residential, commercial, or both)
- Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, and materials
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if traveling between sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in apartment or property management settings
- Drywall repair or light carpentry experience
- OSHA 10 certification or similar safety training

Compensation
