We’re Hiring: Orthodontic Clinical Assistant
Our orthodontic team is growing, and we’re looking for a Clinical Assistant who is caring, dependable, and excited to help create confident smiles every day!
About Us:
We’re a busy, positive, and patient-focused orthodontic office with locations on the North Side and South Hill. Our team loves working together, supporting each other, and making patients feel comfortable and cared for at every visit.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist our orthodontists chairside with patient care.
- Take x-rays, impressions, and photos.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Help in Sterile by properly cleaning, preparing, and organizing instruments.
- Encourage and support patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical space.
- Travel between our North Side and South Hill offices as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant or dental assistant, preferably with orthodontic focus
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and terminology
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and the orthodontic team
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined
