  Temporary Summer Helper 

Summary

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs general clean-up, painting, sandblasting, grounds and plant maintenance and other related duties.

Required Skills and Abilities

Ability to safely and effectively operate motorized vehicles, jackhammer, weed eater, small lawn equipment, broom, shovel, wheelbarrow, painting equipment, and related equipment.

Ability to read and understand written instructions, warning labels and similar information.

Ability to work in confined spaces, in awkward positions, and handle materials possibly weighing up to 50 pounds. Work requires walking, lifting, climbing, bending, pushing, and pulling. 

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to dust, noise, heat, any weather conditions, dirt and elevation of 100 feet or more. Some jobs may require use of equipment that results in jarring and vibratory exposure.

% of Time Duties and Responsibilities

85 % General clean-up duties using shovels, brooms, motorized sweepers, jackhammers (weighing up to 50 lbs.), wheelbarrows loaded with materials weighing up to 300 pounds.

15% Operating motorized equipment such as motorized vehicles, lawn mowers, sweepers, or other equipment necessary to perform activities in and around the facility.
